Telestream and Ustream Bring Producer Studio to Live Streamers

Article Featured Image

Ustream subscribers are getting greater access to Telestream Wirecast tools, thanks to an expansion of the two companies' partnership. The Ustream Producer line of products was launched in 2010, and now it gains a new component called Producer Studio.

The line also includes Ustream Producer, which is free, and Producer Pro, which is $199. The new Producer Studio costs $549, and is meant for broadcasters streaming tens of thousands of live streams daily on Ustream.

The Producer line runs on both Windows and Macintosh computers. The free Producer is for beginners who need to livestream on a limited budget. Producer Pro offers more control over the broadcast. The new Producer Studio delivers more power and flexibility, with features including IP and HD camera support, chroma keying, scoreboards, and virtual sets.

The entire Producer line has been upgraded to 2.0 status, with improved editing support, intelligent bandwidth monitoring, and a simpler interface.

"I think the most important thing to note is that Ustream made improvements to the Producer software based on community feedback," says online personality Chris Pirillo. "They listened to ardent supporters and adjusted the experience accordingly. That's the way to do it!"
